Humorous Side Effect Of Mod Points Galore On Slashdot
What is interesting about the mod point situation on Slashdot is that it emphasizes kmself's comment a while ago that the Slashdot moderation system tends to encourage false negatives (i.e. lots of low rated posts should be +3 or higher). I'd always felt that I was probably missing some good posts by browsing at +3 but now that I've seen what happens when more mod points are allowed to flood the system it actually seems slightly saner and more like K5 in both a good and a bad way.

I wonder if I'm a kurobot even though I probably don't fit in the racial demographic?
