Every week or so I get a complaint from someone using Safari on Mac OS X complaining about the fact that my blog looked wacky in their browser. I finally got around to fixing the templates used by my blog and now it should look fine in Safari.

The following sites were helpful in showing me what my site looked like in Safari; http://www.danvine.com/icapture/ and http://www.fundisom.com/g5/. Thanks to Martin Dittus for pointing me out to these sites without which I wouldn't have been able to confirm my changes.

New layout looks slick in my Firefox. Previously, there were some wonky incidental overlays, but it all looks very clean now. It wasn't much of an issue before because your RSS is very platform-independent. :)

Looks great indeed! Nice work.

And amazingly you have valid HTML, which we scarcely ever associate with Microsoft. However, you aren't using *semantic* HTML; among other things, headings are not [div]s.

Additionally, the CSS validator crashes because your XML is apparently ill-formed.

You may have solved the Safari problem, but that is essentially browser-specific development. You need further work on standards compliance, though much less than typical Microsoft Weblogs.

Thanks Dare, works great in Safari (finally!).

I can't verify this. I am almost sure that my FireFox page validation extension, HTML Validator, listed errors for your feeds and your pages. Now all we have are warnings so this is an improvement.

For example, the page I am writing this post on lists 129 warnings---and this page contains no ads from Google! I am running on Windows XP.

...and I thought it was just me.

Definite improvement! I am an IE user. Now you no longer have the worst blog site design I regularly visit!

I still wish comments would show by default on your individual post pages (like the oldnewthing and Larry Osterman's), but that would be too much to hope for I suppose.

Thank you!

What Ben said: you no longer have the worst design of blogs a frequently read.
