"My Name is Ikechukwu" on MSN Soapbox

Via Nicole's post on the Messenger Says blog entitled Up on a Soapbox I found out that videos beta users (like me) post on MSN Soapbox can be viewed by folks who haven't been invited to the service. I posted my friend Ikechukwu's rap video up there. You can compare the video viewing experience of MSN Soapbox to Youtube by watching the video on both sites, check it out

I was expecting an AJAX site but was surprised to see how much Flash is used instead. I'm still trying out the features of the site but so far it looks good for a beta.

When you first clickthru all you see is the sign-in. I thought: how lame, they make you sign in just to watch the video? No frame of the video, nothing and then all of a suddent he video frame and video starts playing. Not a good way to bring in the content. They should have the video frame show online at least, even if it's flash, wrap it in some type of container.

Youtube is still better. Both sites gave me a lot of buffering problems but on soapbox the volume slider does not work.

Well, actually I like the sound on the YouTube better.
