A few weeks ago Robert Scoble and Charles Torre came by my office and interviewed me for about an hour. The interview was impromptu and I rambled about all things XML at Microsoft. below are clips of the interview that have made it to Channel 9

  1. What is the biggest misperception of XML?

  2. What is the best place to learn about XML?

  3. Is Microsoft supporting XML standards?

  4. Where is Microsoft going with RSS/syndication?

  5. What would you pitch Bill Gates on?

I was unprepared for the questions and tended to ramble when answering some of the questions but the answers were more honest and off the cuff.

The interviews came off amazingly. You didn't ramble (in the edited versions) at all, and made some great points. It's video blogging, and very valuable.

I think it's great that I now have an image of you and the sound of your voice in my head when I read your blog. I have this generic dirty-blonde, 6-foot, 180 lbs guy that I picture for every blogger until I find out otherwise.

Needless to say, very few people actually match my generic vision...

You mean your office is a park bench?

How cool!

The interview went very well, I thought. Good work!

Actually, we do very little editing. Just pick an interesting start point and end point and that's it.

What do we cut out? All of our (the people doing the interviews) rambling. Now THAT'S boring! :-)
