Bloglines stopped polling my feed over a week ago probably due to a temporary error in my feed. I've been trying to find a way to get them to re-enable my feed given that for the 1,670 subscribed to my feed on their service my blog hasn't been updated since October 3rd. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a way to contact the product team.

I sent a mail via the contact form but didn't get a response and their support forum is overrun with spam which leads me to believe it has been abandoned. Any ideas on how I can get Bloglines to start polling my feed again?

I assume you have already tried submitting a ping via the Web interface and XML-RPC? I just submitted a ping on your behalf just in case.

A few things look off in your feed:

* Your self-referential feed link (rel=self) points to 25hoursaday, not FeedBurner. If I grab that URL I'm redirected to FeedBurner. Could reduce the run-around and reference FeedBurner URL directly.

* Your icon element defines a relative URL of "favicon.ico." Leads me nowhere.

* I think your category scheme use is off. You are declaring a unique scheme per category instead of a unique scheme across your entire blog.

I started having serious problems with Bloglines not updating many of the feeds I read a few weeks ago, and switched over to Google Reader (reluctantly, as I've used Bloglines for a long time and really didn't want to learn a new interface).

When I mentioned my switch in Twitter there was a chorus of "yeah, I had to switch too".

I'm having similar problems with Technorati: Several days without pinging my site and, after bugging them, having only partial updates for a few tags.

I'd check how your feed looks on feedvalidator.org

Wow, didn't you just rip into TechCrunch yesterday for spreading schadenfreude? You would think after that post you might look into technical issues prior to posting something like "Is Bloglines on Life Support?" just because you have a feed error.

I've been using Bloglines for over a year and used to like it better than any other RSS aggregator (I made several attempts to switch to something else, like Google Reader, but kept coming back to Bloglines). Recently, I've noticed that Bloglines does not pull several feeds in my subscriptions (mostly Yahoo! Pipes-based feeds, but not only). I've had problems with subscriptions at Bloglines before, but they did not seem to be as pervasive. What is worse, there is no info whether it's a temporary glitch (if you can call several weeks "temporary"), or if there is a fundamental problem in the service. So this week, I finally moved my subscriptions to Google Reader. I do not like Google's interface, but at least I'll be getting my feeds.
